About Me

I first learned how to knit one summer when I was about seven years old. My mom and my grandmother spent that summer sitting by the pool patiently teaching me how to knit. Both of them didn't knit with patterns. I remember my granny knitting a beautiful Irish cable-knit sweater for my teddy bear in a few hours. My mom can look at anything and figure out how to make it or can create wonderful patterns out of her imagination. I only wish that I could knit as well as they can!

I only knit on and off for the next thirteen years (although I also added crocheting to my skills in the interim), mostly working on scarves or simple crochet hats. My knitting really took off when I found myself living alone in London without any television! Wanting to knit something other than a scarf, and without any helpful family member to point me in the right direction, I quickly taught myself how to read knitting patterns. From then on, my knitting really took off! Now I knit everything and anything and I would love to work with textiles full-time!
